calendar problem

Hi!
I start regretting we chose Drupal 7. ;-) I don't get along with the calendar: I want to create an upcoming block. but I get error messages like the following.

Notice: Undefined property: date_views_argument_handler_simple::$table_alias in calendar_plugin_row_node->pre_render() (line 239 of /home/www/deepamehta/incoming/drupal-7.8/sites/all/modules/calendar/includes/calendar_plugin_row_node.inc).

My block says "array"... Please have a look at this - I'm interested in the solution.

We can build an "Upcoming" View ourselfs with views and the date module.

Do we want a seperate Content Type "Event"? I'm in favour of just adding a date field to the Article CT.

First of all: I wanted to try to create the upcoming block before we decided we want one. Just to see if I get it to work. I thought, we might want to use it for real events e.g. Presentation of Deepamehta at Linuxtag ;-) or sth. like this. (so: events with a date in contrast to any news about dm.)
