Besides the author of a page, we would like to see who has last changed a page and when.
Change History

- Summary changed from Drupal: show "last edited by..." to Drupal: show "last modified by..."
Examples:
http://shortrecipes.blogspot.com/2011/02/drupal-7-add-last-update-date-to-footer.html
http://www.varesano.net/blog/fabio/displaying%20last%20updated%20or%20changed%20date%20drupal%20node
I'm not sure yet, whether there is an existing/built-in feature in the drupal core or in a module.

I created a block that shows the last update. It's currently in the first sidebar. If we want it to substitude the posting time, we need to do it in the theme. I would postpone that tast untill we start theming.

this "last updated" block which is now placed in the footer seems curiously seem to refer to the overall website..
i added a hack in the page.tpl.php to show the "last updated date" for each page.
