Keyboard Control

Reported by: joern Owned by: jri
Priority: Major Milestone: Release 4.1
Component: DeepaMehta Standard Distribution Version: 4.0.11
Keywords: Cc: dgf, Malte, tsc
Complexity: 3 Area: GUI / Usability
Module: deepamehta-webclient

Description

A nice first step would be the following: while holding "shift" or "ctrl", one should be able to draw association by clicking on a topic and dragging the mouse to the desired target topic.

"Ctrl-N" to create a topic is imho rather useless since one still has to specify the type of the topic. A right click menu with a "create new" submenu to access all types of topics, together with the last say three most recent topictypes as shortcuts would do better.

Yes, creating an association should be more simple.
I will realize the drag-with-modifier-key gesture (as DM2 had).

Webclient: create association via Alt key (#304).

You can create an association by Alt-Mousedown on the source topic (and then dragging to the target topic).
Note: Alt is used because a Mac uses Ctrl to emulate the right mouse button.

See ticket 304.

Webclient fix: "Associate" menu command (#304).

The "Associate" menu command works again.
Thanks Malte for reporting!

Shift is useed as the modifier key as Alt is used by Linux to move a window.
Thanks dgf for reporting!

See ticket 304.
