Would be a "wtf-like" productivity boost.

Use case for edges:

case 1: selected n-n edges: can only change type of all at once.
case 2: slected 1-n edges: can make addinoal changes like "whole(1)-part(N)" and vice versa, which would make the one common knot "Whole" for all relationships and the other n's the "part" partner.

For a better understanding review windows solution for the case properties of
many files are selected.
In such a case the properties panel only shows only properties common for all the files as editible.
