Cause:
This is because the way the Core updates aggregations: first deleting *all* existing ones and then (re)creating the ones contained in the update request.
Solution:
the quick solution would be to tweak the assignToWorkspace() call.
The better approach is to solve the underlying problem (#319).
Workaround:
for the moment don't create workspaces.
