Description
It would be very nice to have at least a choice of three times as many icons per default as it is now. This is independend from the fact that I may add my own icons at some point.

Yes more icons would be nice.
Do you know any good icon sets for free usage?
I use Google image search and www.iconfinder.com at a regular basis but I'm rather disappointed what its there. It appears most designers not even know what icons are. IMHO icons are *not*
512x512 pixel highly-detailed photorealistic 3D renderings of real world objects with thousands of colors, all kinds of gradients, glossy effects and drop shadows
*but*
highly stylized more or less abstract forms which capture the essence of a concept in its most minimal form while being maximum recognizable and distinguishable through color and form.
Furthermore I'm literally shocked by the absurdness of widely accepted metaphors. E.g. a globe in chains as a symbol for a weblink? How stupid is that?
AND: you *can* add your own icons to DM:
1) If you are on a client-server environment upload the icon file via the DM File Browser.
If you are on a standalone environment you can alternatively just drag'n' the icon file from your OS file browser to the DM canvas.
In both cases the file appears as a File topic.
2) Retype the File topic to Icon.
Now the new icon is available in the icon picker (as displayed in the View Configuration edit panel).
