Description (last modified by JuergeN) (diff)
As a user (and sysadmin) I want to handle the users in LDAP. Besides authentication it would be nice if the LDAP plugin could read all other relevant user information from LDAP and display it in DM4 (... potentially through proxy objects).

As considerations for the authentication via LDAP use-case, since jri and I spoke about this last week, too:
- Activating LDAP Auth would be realized as a system-wide auth-method and nothing configurable per userl, thus replacing DMs existing password and login method, right?
- In the LDAP there probably needs to be a user exactly named "admin", otherwise your DM installation would not have such a user (and probably some DM usage scenarios depend on this user, but here I am not exactly sure)
I just wanted to share our considerations regarding this topic. What do you think?
Cheers!
