Trac Site: trac.ini not writable by the web server

As a trac admin when I try to edit the "Milestones" settings an error occurs:

Warning: Error writing to trac.ini, make sure it is writable by the web server. Your changes have not been saved.

Note: I already did the email verification trac called me.

the trac error message is a little vague, the solution was to make the conf folder writeable
