Do you mean within the DeepaMehta GUI or what exactly are you thinking of?

comment:2 Changed 11 years ago by Malte

Yes, sure.

I mean a package manager allowing users to

  • install
  • uninstall
  • complete uninstall (with data)

any plugin from the central deepamehta maven repo compatible with my current DM-Version.

Such a plugin-manager would need to manage dependencies (declared in POMs and accessible from within OSGi) and make them transparent for end-users in a user-interface.

For the user-interface:

A search for all instances of type "Plugin" could also render those plugins compatible but not installed, right next to the plugins already installed but visually distinct.

You can install bundles via Gogo shell.
The Karaf distro supports hot deployment.
