Install the DeepaMehta Software requirements on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS or later

Ubuntu/Debian? Package

Install DeepaMehta from the deb-Package provided at ​https://launchpad.net/~sil-ke/+archive/deepamehta

Binary Distribution

DeepaMehta requires JAVA 1.6 or later:

aptitude install default-jdk

Continue with Binary Distribution or with Running DeepaMehta as a Daemon.

Development System

For the development system you will also need to install maven and git:

aptitude install maven2 git-core

Continue with Build DeepaMehta From Source.
